Our Story
Built to be the contractor we'd want to hire
Amps Logics Electric was founded over a decade ago in Etobicoke with a simple bet: that there was real demand in Toronto for an electrical contractor that just did the work properly. Showed up on time. Quoted what the job actually cost. Pulled the permits. Cleaned up after.
It sounds basic, but anyone who's renovated a house, opened a restaurant, or managed a building in this city knows it isn't. The trade is full of contractors who lowball the quote and pad the invoice, ghost mid-project, or skip the permit and leave the homeowner exposed when something fails.
We built Amps to be the alternative. Ten-plus years later, our work covers every kind of electrical scope — from single panel upgrades for homeowners to multi-building service contracts for property managers — but the operating principle hasn't changed. Four things we do differently
After ten years of running jobs in Toronto, we've watched what wrecks projects and what saves them. These four principles are the ones we won't compromise on.
Fixed-price quotes
Every job gets a written quote with a fixed price after a free site visit. No hourly meter running, no surprise change orders, no "the job got bigger than expected" calls. If something genuinely changes mid-project, we document it and price it transparently before the work happens.
Permits, every time
Any work that requires an ESA permit, we pull. We don't cut corners to save the homeowner a couple hundred dollars on permit fees and leave them exposed if something goes wrong. Insurance claims, home sales, and inspections all rely on properly permitted work — we treat that as table stakes.
Phones get answered
Mid-project questions, urgent emergencies, follow-ups months later — when you call, you get a real person. We invest in dispatch and project management so customers don't have to chase us. It's the single most-mentioned thing in our reviews, and it's the cheapest competitive advantage in the trade.
Clean job sites
Floor protection, dust containment, daily cleanup, and labelled panels. The work isn't done when the wires are pulled — it's done when the homeowner can walk into the room without thinking "I have to clean up after these guys." Every project ends with the space left better than we found it.
