Level 2 EV Charger Installation in Toronto

Charge your EV at home — safely, quickly, and to code. ESA-licensed installation for Tesla, Ford, Hyundai, GM, Rivian, and every other Level 2 charger on the market. Serving Etobicoke, Toronto, and the GTA.

Why Install At Home

Six reasons to install a Level 2 charger

A standard wall outlet adds about 5–8 km of range per hour. A Level 2 charger adds 30–50 km per hour — full overnight charging for nearly every EV on the road.

01

Full charge overnight

Wake up to a full battery, every day.

02

Cheaper than public

Off-peak Ontario rates make home charging the lowest-cost option.

03

Ready for any weather

Skip the public-station wait in -20° January cold.

04

Adds home value

EV-ready homes resell faster as adoption climbs.

05

Smart scheduling

Auto-charge overnight on Time-of-Use rates for max savings.

06

Works with all EVs

Universal J1772 plug fits every EV (Teslas use included adapter).

Rebates & Incentives

What's available in Ontario right now

Federal EV purchase rebate is back

As of February 2026, the federal Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) offers up to $5,000 off a new battery EV (under $50K transaction value) and up to $2,500 for plug-in hybrids — applied at the dealership.

No active provincial home charger rebate

Ontario's ChargeON program currently covers commercial and public chargers only, and the federal ZEVIP residential stream is fully subscribed. We monitor new programs and will flag any savings you qualify for at quote time.

FAQ

EV charger questions, answered

How long does an EV charger install take?

Most Level 2 installs take 3 to 6 hours. Longer wire runs, panel work, or trenching for detached garages can extend that. ESA inspection happens separately, usually within 1–2 weeks.

Do I need a permit for an EV charger in Ontario?

Yes. Every Level 2 EV charger install requires an ESA permit and inspection. We pull the permit, schedule the inspection, and provide you with the Certificate of Acceptance — all included in our quote.

Will I need to upgrade my electrical panel?

It depends on your existing load. Many 100A panels can handle a Level 2 charger using load management. 60A panels almost always need an upgrade. We run a load calculation during the free site visit so you know exactly what's required.

Hardwired or plug-in (NEMA 14-50)?

Both are safe and code-compliant. Hardwired delivers slightly faster charging and is cleaner-looking. Plug-in lets you unplug and take the charger if you move. We'll recommend the right setup for your situation.

Which EV charger should I buy?

For Canadian winters, the Grizzl-E Classic (NEMA 4 rated, 40A, 5-year warranty) is a strong pick. ChargePoint, JuiceBox, and Tesla Wall Connector are also great. We'll recommend based on your EV, panel, and budget — and supply if you'd prefer not to source one yourself.

What does it cost?

Most Level 2 installs in the GTA range from $1,500 to $3,500 including charger, labour, materials, permit, and inspection. Panel upgrades or long wire runs can add to that. Every quote is transparent, fixed-price, and given after a free site visit.

Do you install Tesla Wall Connectors?

Yes. We install Tesla Wall Connectors and every other Level 2 charger on the Canadian market. Tesla owners using a J1772 charger can use the included adapter that ships with the car.
